Nvidia announced it is making the process of high-quality rendering affordable with two new versions of Gelato software, the company's premium rendering solution for digital content creation. The new version comes in two flavors: Gelato 2.0 software, a no-cost version of the renderer.Both the no-cost and the Pro versions of Gelato 2.0 software include advanced rendering features such as high-quality anti-aliasing, smooth motion blur, raytracing, global illumination and the inclusion of plug-ins for Autodesk's Maya and 3ds Max software, all of which make Gelato software a powerful complement to any rendering pipeline," said Larry Gritz,...more detail

I recently had an experience in installing and testing a HMD(Head Mounted Display) in the same VR environment to demonstrate a VR application. :-) That was a VR1280 of Virtual Research, Inc.
In the image below, I could see cables. I thought one of people who modeled the scene had used to use a VR system including HMD or CyberGlove.

The monster is training for the best scarer on the VR system.

Nvidia signs Hybrid Graphics to help speed 3D phone graphics
I made a mistake ...
So I answered "At the beginning of my employment, I was interested in good programming. So I read some books such as "Effect C++, More Effective C++, C++ Gems, Ruminations on C++". There're mistakes when I spoke "++". I pronouned ++ with "ppul ppul". I should have pronounced it with "plus plus".
After I hang up the phone, I recognized it. I really appreciate him who understood that.
What a wonderful world~~~~

Mobile Paradise
These days I got interested in the wireless technologies, because those are the most mainstream technologies here in Korea. The Ministry of Information and Communication, or MIC, phased in a new groth tatics of nurturing eight new servcies, three infrastructures and nine hardware-related business under the title IT839 in 2004. IT839 includes:
* 8 new services
- WiBro Service
- DMB Service
- Home N/W Service
- Telematics Service
- RFID-based Service
- W-CDMA Service
- Terrestrial DTV
- Internet Telephony
* 3 infrastructure
- Broadband Convergence Network
- U-Sensor Network
- Internel Protocol v6
* 9 products
- Next-Generation Mobile Communications
- Digital TV
- Home Network
- IT SoC
- Next-Generation PC
- Embedded SW
- Telematics
- Intelligent Service Robot
It rearranged its portfolio by adding new promient growth phased like IT services and radio tags to the lineup, and retitled the plan u-IT839.
In addition, it revealed its plan to help Korea become a world leader in mobile technology by 2010. The plan, dubbed M1 (Mobile No. 1), will be pushed to achieve the goal.
Among them are creating a special mobile district, where all existing and burgeoning mobile technology will be used. The citizens there will be free to use every next-generation telecom platform such as TD-SCDMA, WiBro and GSM.
I felt like I needed to know about mobiled 3D related technologies. So I surveyed the development environment for them. Here's the links [Mobile]
